CEDC & CIDC: What Do We Do?
An Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is created by a municipality (town or city) to finance new and expanding businesses, as regulated by the State of Texas. There are two types of EDCs: Type A- With a focus towards Industrial projects versus Type B- With a focus towards Quality of Life projects. Both are designed to assist businesses through a variety of fundings including grants, loans, and provision of information and expertise.
Both the Collinsville Industrial Development Corporation (CIDC) and the Collinsville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) are committed to creating an environment that fosters business growth, attract investment and enhances employment opportunities. We work closely with local government agencies, businesses and community organizations to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement projects that contribute to the economic vitality of the City of Collinsville and the surrounding area.
If upon reading this you are filled with excitement and interest, we would like to invite you to attend one of our meetings. We are recruiting people to serve the City of Collinsville as a Board member for the EDCs.
