Changing Traffic & Interstate Commerce Patterns

As of October 2025, the North Texas Tollway extended north from Dallas, Tx to FM 121 about midway between the towns of Tioga and Gunter. The next phase of building will bring the Tollway system closer to State Highway 56 that connects Sherman to Whitesboro, going East and West. While the Tollway will make access to the Texoma business and commercial zones more readily available for Collinsville residents, it will also bring to Collinsville daily and weekend travelers closer. The Tollway will come to within about 10 miles of the current city limits, to the East.
